Early Edition

-OJ Mayo and the USC Trojans really gave it to the Derrick Rose led Memphis Tigers pushing them into Overtime .
A HUGE jump in Daniel Hackett's production from last season (5.3 PPG to 21.1 PPG in only eight more minutes per game) gives the Trojans and nice back court duo that I'd be worried about playing in March. Rose looked unsure of himself throughout the game though and USC's fast paced approach surprisingly showed a weakness in the second ranked Tigers. A game like this would make Jimmy V proud. -Kobe and Bynum must be so friendly now, they're sharing each others food. (WWL)

-Bobcats do Cavs a favor . (Yahoo Sports)

-Travis Henry scores a win with his appeal of his drug suspension. (The Red Zone)

-According to Sports Business Daily, former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue is joining his old DC law firm, Covington & Burling. According to SBD (go ahead laugh),
he will be a business adviser to the NFL, will advise clients in the firm’s “communications and media, technology and international groups.

I wonder if this marks the first time a former commissioner of a sports league serves as an employee with the same league after his tenure as commish was over. (SBD)

-Dolphins put Zach Thomas on IR which he wasn't very happy about. I think the video below was enough evidence to prove some brain damage has been caused by all these concussions (Sun Sentinel)
